Here's another recipe... This one is a little healthier than the last. :-)
Tropical Treat Smoothie
1 cup cut up cantaloupe
1 cup pineapple tidbits, either out of the can or can cut up yourself
1 container triple berry yogurt, (I use the Yoplait Delights, yummy)
1 cup apple juice
1 tsp. sugar
1 cup ice
In a blender, mix the first five ingredients until smooth. Then, with the motor still running, add the ice, 1 cube at a time. Keep blending until it thickens.
Makes 2 servings.
Quick tip: These are really easy to make the night before and have ready for a quick, delicious, healthy breakfast on a busy morning. You can also purchase extra ingredients when they are on sale, make several and freeze them for up to a month. Just put them in a freezer container, allowing a little room for expansion. When you wake up, set them out to thaw at room temperature and they’re ready to drink in about an hour.
